I’ve got my computer situated in a nice spot. I have a window right in front of me where I can look out to the east and see what’s going on. I happened to look up earlier then rushed outside to shoot this shot.

I capture a lot of interesting pictures of the sky this direction, unfortunately they all are composed with the neighbors house in the shot.

But this shot points out one of the first rules I learned in photography. Always keep a camera close at hand. Sometimes it’s the most unplanned shots that are the best. Usually, in my bag I take to work, I have my digital camera with me. If I think I might be capturing some good photos that day I’ll take my 35mm with me.

I should also point out that, except for resizing the image for the weblog, this image is exactly as I took it and has not been touched up.
