CNN was doing a comparison of casualties rates from previous conflicts. 1 in 15 were injured in WWI, WWII, Vietnam. 1 in 13 during Korea. 1 in 1500 during the Gulf War. They expect this war to return to the 1 in 15 casualty rate. That means roughly 17,000 casualties on the Ally side.

Do you think anyone in the Administration realized the casualties could be so high?
